Look I had a twin bed for a year and it did honestly affect my quality of sleep. If the 2-bed is in a place that’s convenient for your friends to come over multiple times a week, choose that. If it’s outta the way, you’ll end up mostly 1) going out a lot to see your friends and/or 2) flying solo in a low-stim environment, which can be good, but might not be what you want Being able to go out easily is rad. You can invite friends to get a drink/ meal with you and pop back to yours. Don’t underestimate the amount of hosting you can do in a smaller space — I’d assume a DTX 1-bed has a living space comparable to BK 2-beds that I’ve hosted dozens of pregames, small brunches, and casual hangouts in. Yeah, you can’t do big parties (unless there’s a roof or smth) but I’ve def squeezed in 15-20 people into a little living room a few times. Think carefully about the price thing though. If the 1-bed is more $$$ AND it’ll have you going out to spend more money more often then it can become a real lifestyle creep moment! Being out of the way has often costed me more though — cause if the only option to see friends for multiple hours straight is to bar-hop, you end up spending $60+ every damn time instead of $25 (going out & then retreating home with six-packs and homies).
